The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) has officially announced the registration of 57 professional teams for the 2025 season, spanning across men’s and women’s divisions. The list includes 15 UCI Women’s WorldTeams, seven UCI Women’s ProTeams, 18 UCI WorldTeams, and 17 UCI ProTeams.
Women’s WorldTeams for 2025 finalised
The UCI confirmed 14 returning UCI Women’s WorldTeams for the upcoming season, including Movistar Team, Lidl – Trek, and Team SD Worx – Protime. Team DSM – Firmenich PostNL, initially requiring additional review by the Licence Commission, has also secured its place, bringing the total to 15.

Introduction of Women’s ProTeams
The 2025 season sees the debut of the UCI Women’s ProTeams, forming a second division for women’s professional cycling. Seven teams were successfully registered, including the Cofidis Women Team, EF Education – Oatly, and Laboral Kutxa – Fundacion Euskadi. Registrations for teams such as Winspace Orange Seal and VolkerWessels Women’s Pro Cycling Team remain conditional, pending additional documentation by 20th December.

Based on the 2024 UCI World Ranking, EF Education – Oatly and VolkerWessels Women’s Pro Cycling Team have secured invitations to all Women’s WorldTour events in 2025 by achieving the most UCI points in the 2024 season.

Additional reviews approved entries for Intermarché – Wanty, Team DSM – Firmenich PostNL, and XDS Astana Team, provided all required documents are submitted by 15th January.

Seventeen UCI ProTeams will compete in 2025, with notable entries from Burgos – BH, Lotto, and TotalEnergies. Based on the 2024 rankings, Lotto DSTNY and Israel – Premier Tech have guaranteed invitations to all UCI WorldTour events, while Uno-X Mobility will receive invites for one-day races.
