Alessia Vigilia, born in 1999, will be in her fifth year in the category and it is therefore a graft of experience. The Bolzanina, who in the last two seasons has worn the shirt of the Spanish “Women Cycling Team”, obtained a 10th place in the Donostia San Sebastian Klasikoa 2019, but her most important results go back to the junior category, when she was able to win a Italian Championship individual time trial and to finish in second place both the European Championships and the World Championships, always in the individual time trial.
Virginia Bortoli, born in 2003 coming from Breganze Millenium Team, this season obtained a second place in Carmignano, a fourth place in the Giro delle Marche and two fifths in Civitanova and Tarzo, in addition to four other top-10s. Bortoli will make her debut in the Elite category.

We are very happy to be able to bring these two girls into our group who will strengthen both the more experienced and the younger sides, further demonstrating that we have aimed to have a very balanced team. Specifically, Alessia is still young but already an expert as she has already played in foreign teams and her experience will be very important for the growth of the entire group. We therefore expect an important contribution from her. Virginia will be in her first year in the category and her priority until June will be school: until the last day we want her to commit herself to that front, our task will be to make her grow without too much pressure “.
Alessia Vigilia: “After two years abroad I preferred to return to Italy and I found the ideal team for me in Fassa Bortolo. I am still young, but I think I can also bring a lot of experience to the group, as I have participated in top-level races in the last four years. I feel I still have a lot to give and I think this is the right environment for me to be able to demonstrate my value, but I also want to share my experience with my new teammates and help them grow, especially the younger ones “.
Virginia Bortoli: “To make my debut in the elite category, I couldn’t ask for anything better than to wear the Top Girls jersey. I am very excited for this opportunity and will give my best every time I get on the bike. The team asked me to focus primarily on the school, explaining that they have always worked like this with young athletes. I have full confidence in the staff and will therefore try to follow all the advice that will be given to me, because I know that they will help me growing in the best possible way “.
