With great confidence to Eibar

The cyclists of the Rio Miera-Cantabria Deporte UCI team face the IV UCI Women’s City of Eibar Grand Prix on Sunday. After competing between Tuesday and Thursday in the Vuelta a Andalucía Women, the team arrives shot and with the desire to perform well against top-level runners.

A total of 114 runners belonging to 19 teams of various nationalities will be at the starting line in Plaza de Unzaga at 10 in the morning to tackle the 112.3-kilometre course. It will be a test with special prominence of the mountain with the ports of Itziar, Megas and San Miguel.

For our cyclists it means the opportunity to once again demonstrate their great competitive level and add quality kilometres in this month of May with so many important races. In addition, the logistical effort of the club this weekend is highly valued as it will be in three different competitions.

Aida Nuño, Sports Director, thinks that “after the start of the month in Andalusia with a good taste in our mouths, we are going to Eibar with great desire to show ourselves and try to do well. Most of the squad will be the same as in the Vuelta a Andalucía, so we are going to have a couple of days to rest, recharge our batteries and look for a good result. Some riders will enter as a refresher because the goal is that throughout this month all the runners have their opportunities looking for the best routes for each one of them”.
