Strade Bianche Women 2023

The anticipation builds as Siena prepares to host the Strade Bianche Women Elite on Saturday, 2nd March. A total of 24 teams, including 14 UCI Women’s WorldTeams and 10 UCI Women’s Continental Teams, will line up for the prestigious event, covering 137 km and tackling 12 challenging gravel sectors.

RCS Sport has officially released the list of competing teams, with the presentation set to take place on Friday afternoon at Fortezza Medicea. Among the notable entries are AG Insurance – Soudal Team, Canyon//SRAM Racing, and Movistar Team, representing the elite of women’s cycling.

In addition to the WorldTeams, several Continental Teams have earned their spots through qualification and wild card entries, adding depth and diversity to the competition. These include Cofidis Women Team, Aromitalia 3T Vaiano, and BTC City Ljubljana Zhirafl Ambedo, among others.

The route promises excitement and challenge, with more than 40 km of gravel roads across twelve sectors, shared with the men’s course. Starting near the Stadium/Fortezza Medicea in Siena, riders will navigate twisty and undulating terrain, featuring punchy climbs and technical descents.
