Sophie Wright
Sophie Wright is a British cyclist who rides for Ribble Outliers. A versatile rider with a background in mountain biking and several seasons of Women’s WorldTour road racing, she has successfully shifted her focus towards gravel and developed into one of Britain’s leading riders on the international gravel circuit.

Career overview
Wright progressed from mountain biking into professional road racing and joined Cervélo-Bigla in 2018, finishing sixth overall at the Giro della Toscana that season. She later placed eighth overall at the 2019 Giro delle Marche in Rosa and tenth at the 2022 AG Tour de la Semois, while racing at Women’s WorldTour level with Alé BTC Ljubljana, UAE Team ADQ and Fenix-Deceuninck. After leaving the professional road peloton at the end of 2024, Wright joined Ribble Outliers and returned to off-road racing. She won five gravel races during 2025 and took silver at the European Gravel Championships. Her strong form continued in 2026 with victory at Monaco Gravel, third at 114 Gravel and second in the British Gravel Championship time-trial.
