Zsofia Szabo (Retired)
Zsófia Szabó is a retired Hungarian cyclist who spent seven seasons competing at international and Belgian domestic level. A strong one-day rider and time-trialist, she became Hungarian road race champion in 2019 and went on to finish second and third in the national championship over the following two seasons. Szabó also raced major Women’s WorldTour events including Gent-Wevelgem, Amstel Gold Race and La Flèche Wallonne Féminine before ending her career after the 2024 season.

Career overview
Szabó joined Health Mate-Cyclelive Team during 2018 and enjoyed her strongest season the following year, winning the Hungarian road race championship and finishing eighth at La Picto-Charentaise. She moved to Doltcini-Van Eyck Sport for 2020, taking second in the national road race and third in the time-trial, before spending two seasons with Andy Schleck-CP NVST-Immo Losch. Szabó finished third in the Hungarian road championship in 2021 and 12th at the SPAR Flanders Diamond Tour. She later joined Belgian club team Carbonbike Giordana by Gen Z, racing there in 2023 and 2024. After suffering a concussion in a crash during her final season, Szabó decided to retire from road racing at the end of 2024.
