Career overview

Ewers began racing bikes in 2019 after previously playing collegiate football and made a rapid progression into the professional peloton. Third in the US road championship and second overall at the Joe Martin Stage Race in 2021 earned her an opportunity with TIBCO-Silicon Valley Bank. Her breakthrough 2022 season included victory at the Navarra Women’s Elite Classics, a Festival Elsy Jacobs stage win, second overall at that race and ninth at the Tour de France Femmes. She improved to fourth overall at the 2023 Giro d’Italia Donne. After a reduced racing programme across 2024 and 2025, Ewers and EF Education-Oatly agreed that she would step away from elite cycling ahead of the 2026 season.
