Soudal Quick-Step have confirmed the signing of Filippo Zana, completing their roster for the 2026 season. The 26-year-old Italian, a former national champion, has agreed a two-year deal with the Belgian team.
Zana turned professional in 2020 and has steadily built a strong record across stage races and one-day events. His career highlights to date include overall victories at the Tour of Slovenia and Adriatica Ionica Race, a memorable mountain stage win at the Giro d’Italia, and the Italian road race title. He has also shown consistency with top-10 results at Strade Bianche, the Tour de Pologne, and in the Italian Autumn Classics, underlining his versatility across a wide range of terrain.
The move represents a significant step in his career, one that Zana himself described as both motivating and challenging. “I see my move to Soudal Quick-Step as a fresh and beautiful challenge; one I’m really looking forward to. It’s a squad with an incredible history and it motivates me to be part of it for the next two years. I hope to grow and bring some nice victories, but I’m also determined to work together with my teammates for our goals and show why this team is one of the best in the world,” he said.
Soudal Quick-Step CEO Jurgen Foré was equally enthusiastic about the signing. “Filippo is someone who will strengthen our squad in stage races, but also in the hilly one-day races, where he has shown himself many times. From the talks that we had, we discovered he is very motivated to further develop and bring his contribution to the team’s success, and this makes us confident and excited for the next two seasons.”
With Zana’s arrival, Soudal Quick-Step add both depth and ambition to their line-up, gaining a rider who has already shown his ability to win but also the willingness to play a team role in pursuit of bigger goals.
