Dutch rider Amber van der Hulst will return to VolkerWessels Cycling Team for the 2026 season, signing a two-year contract with the Dutch ProTeam squad. The move marks a homecoming for the 25-year-old, who previously rode for the team in 2020 and 2021 when it raced under the Parkhotel Valkenburg name.

Van der Hulst joins from WorldTour outfit Liv AlUla Jayco, bringing with her several seasons of top-level experience. VolkerWessels, which has made steady progress since its rebranding and step up to the Pro Tour category, described her signing as a key addition to strengthen its roster for the classics and sprint-oriented races.

Sporting director and race coach Raymond Rol said the team was delighted to welcome van der Hulst back, highlighting her tactical awareness and sprinting ability. He noted that her experience at WorldTour level would make her an important contributor to both team results and development in the coming seasons.

Van der Hulst said she was looking forward to returning to familiar surroundings, adding that VolkerWessels had always remained close to her heart. She explained that the team’s growth and strong sense of collective racing made it the right time to rejoin and continue progressing together.

The Dutch rider has yet to take a professional win but showed consistency during her earlier spell with the team, finishing third at both the Flanders Diamond Tour and GP d’Isbergues in 2021, along with several other top-ten results that same season.

Her return strengthens VolkerWessels’ focus on sprint finishes and classic-style races, as the team continues to build on its recent progress at Pro Tour level.
