FDJ United-Suez have signed 17-year-old Swiss talent Anja Grossmann on a two-year contract, bringing one of the leading multi-discipline riders of her generation into the professional peloton from 2027.
The move comes only days after Grossmann won the junior cross-country mountain bike world title at Val di Sole, adding another major result to a collection that already includes medals at the junior road World and European Championships.
FDJ United-Suez confirmed the signing in an official team announcement, with Grossmann set to combine her progression on the road with cyclocross rather than immediately specialising in one discipline.
“Joining FDJ United-Suez is a dream come true,” Grossmann said. “I am extremely grateful to have the opportunity to continue pursuing my dreams alongside such an incredible team, both on the road and in cyclocross.”

Grossmann established herself internationally during her first junior road season in 2025.
Still only 16, she finished third in the junior women’s road race at the World Championships in Kigali behind Paula Ostiz and Chantal Pegolo. A few days later she took silver behind Ostiz at the European Championships.
Her 2026 mountain bike campaign has pushed her reputation further. Grossmann became European and Swiss junior XCO champion before winning the world title at Val di Sole on 27 August, taking control during the second of four laps and finishing 48 seconds ahead of Barbora Bukovská.
That combination of road, cyclocross and mountain bike experience is central to FDJ United-Suez’s plans for her.

FDJ United-Suez continue investing for the long term
Grossmann joins a team that has placed increasing emphasis on securing both established leaders and younger riders for multiple seasons.
Demi Vollering extended her FDJ United-Suez contract through 2028 earlier this year, while the team has also tied several existing riders to longer-term deals as it builds beyond the current season.
Grossmann represents a different type of investment. She will enter the professional ranks without the expectation of immediately matching riders who have spent several seasons at Women’s WorldTour level.
“Our role is to believe in these talents, to give them the time, environment and resources to grow and pursue their dreams,” Delcourt said.

For Grossmann, the first task will be managing the step from junior racing while retaining the multi-discipline programme that has already made her one of Switzerland’s leading young prospects.
