The second part of the official Italian spring opening weekend is always marked by the Binda Trophy, the second round of the UCI Women’s WorldTour that the Movistar Team will face in 2022, with an intact route compared to that seen last year in the return of post-pandemic test.
The Lombard test is long, with 141 km near Varese, between Cocquio Trevisago and Cittiglio, and up to three circuits full of ascents. The last one will be the most important, to start when 70 km remain. The ascents to Casale, 800m at 9%, and Orino, divided into two sectors and which, in its second half, presents another 1,500m at 6.5% slope, will be overcome four times.
In the previous loops, Orino will have also been climbed from Cocquio (4 km at 3%) and Cunardo (3.8 km at 4.8%).
