Boskamp wins final stage as Richardson seals 2025 Tour de Feminin overall title

Lente Boskamp delivered a Dutch win on the final day of the 2025 Tour de Feminin, outsprinting Malwina Mul and Anabelle Thomas in the streets of Krásná Lípa to take the stage after 105 hilly kilometres in northern Czechia. The 22-year-old from VELOPRO-Alphamotorhomes had already placed inside the top 10 twice during the four-day UCI 2.2 race and capped her campaign with a career-best victory.

The final stage unfolded on a demanding course that featured nearly 2,000 metres of climbing. Early moves came on the climbs around Vápenka and Křížový Buk, where Karoline Goldschmidt strengthened her grip on the mountains classification. The peloton remained compact through much of the day, with repeated attacks from riders like Nele Laing, Olga Wankiewicz and Tess Moerman kept on a short leash.

A key move came just after the halfway mark when Malwina Mul launched a promising attack, joined by Lucy Lee and Tess Moerman. The trio gained some ground, but the peloton, mindful of the tight time gaps, reacted quickly and brought the break back. Around the 54 km mark, Luca Vierstraete, just 31 seconds off the GC lead, also attempted to go clear, raising alarms among the overall contenders.

As the race approached its final climb, the peloton began to fragment. The Austrian national team moved to the front inside 20 km to go, upping the pace and stringing the bunch out. Mul launched again with just under 10 km remaining, applying pressure on yellow jersey Kate Richardson. However, the British rider managed to stay within the front group as the race flew into Krásná Lípa for the final time.

At the last intermediate sprint, Stage 2 winner Anabelle Thomas crossed the line first, ahead of Richardson and Lauren Dickson. Those two seconds for Richardson proved symbolic rather than decisive, as the overall classification held steady in the end.

In the final uphill sprint, Boskamp timed her effort perfectly to come around Mul and Thomas and take the stage win – her first UCI victory. “It feels amazing to finally get a win like this,” she said after. “We worked hard the entire week, and to finish it off like this means a lot.”

The overall title went to Kate Richardson of Handsling-Alba, who had seized control of the general classification with a commanding ride on stage 3 around Rumburk. She kept her cool under pressure on the final day and rolled in safely to secure the overall victory. “It was a nervous day with all the attacks, but my team kept me in a good position and I just had to stay focused,” she said. “Winning the GC here is a big step for me.”

Malwina Mul, second on the stage and runner-up overall, continued to show her climbing strength throughout the week for MAT Atom Deweloper. She animated the race on multiple stages and was instrumental in forcing the pace late on day four. Xaydee Van Sinaey, riding for the Belgian national team, completed the final GC podium.
