Mareille Meijering
Mareille Meijering, now racing as Mareille Meijer, is a Dutch professional cyclist who races for Movistar Team. A late arrival to the professional peloton after combining cycling with an academic career, she has developed into a strong climber and stage racer. Meijering won the 2024 Vuelta Extremadura Féminas overall and has produced top results in the UAE Tour Women, Giro d’Italia Women and other mountainous stage races.

Career overview
Meijering raced alongside her work as a university lecturer before committing fully to professional cycling in 2023. She began that season with Zaaf Cycling Team, finishing tenth overall at the UAE Tour Women, before joining Movistar in May following Zaaf’s financial difficulties. Her breakthrough came in 2024 when she won a mountain stage and the overall classification at the Vuelta Extremadura Féminas. She also finished ninth at the UAE Tour Women, 11th at the Giro d’Italia Women and 15th at the Tour de France Femmes that year. Third overall at the 2025 Vuelta a Andalucía further confirmed her stage-racing ability. After marrying in October 2025, she adopted the surname Meijer and continued with Movistar in 2026.
