Maria Novolodskaya (Retired)
Maria Novolodskaya is a retired Russian cyclist who competed successfully on both the road and track. An accomplished endurance rider and time-trialist, she won an Olympic bronze medal in the Madison at the Tokyo Games and collected several European championship medals during her career. On the road, Novolodskaya finished second in the under-23 time-trial at the 2019 European Championships and raced professionally for teams including UAE Team ADQ and Lifeplus-Wahoo.

Career overview
Novolodskaya first emerged as a leading track prospect by winning the junior individual pursuit world title in 2016. She later became European under-23 champion in both the Madison and omnium and took silver in the under-23 time-trial at the 2019 European Road Championships. Her biggest senior achievement came at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, where she partnered Gulnaz Khatuntseva to bronze in the women’s Madison. Novolodskaya also combined her track programme with professional road racing, representing Cogeas-Mettler, A.R. Monex and UAE Team ADQ before joining Lifeplus-Wahoo for 2023. She did not return to the professional peloton after that season.
