The Cyclists’ Alliance (TCA) has confirmed the addition of six fresh faces to its Rider Council for 2025, marking an expansion thatโs set to amplify the voice of the peloton. This council, representing professional riders from across the globe, plays a crucial role in TCA’s mission to enhance fairness, safety, and inclusivity within womenโs cycling.
The new members come from a variety of backgrounds and nations, contributing unique perspectives to the council. TCA encourages all riders to communicate directly with the council members, sharing any concerns, ideas, or questions they might have throughout the season. The new members are Alison Jackson from Canada, representing EF-Oatly-Cannondale, Megan Jastrab of the United States riding for Team dsm-firmenich PostNL, Mireia Benito from Spain with AG Insurance-Soudal Team, Germany’s Hannah Ludwig of Cofidis Women Team, Amber Pate from Australia racing for Liv AlUla Jayco, and American Heidi Franz with Cynisca Cycling.
In joining the council, these riders will work alongside established members such as Ellen Van Dijk of the Netherlands, who serves as both the Rider Council Chair and a board member of TCA, and Ally Wollaston from Australia, who races for AG Insurance-Soudal Team. This blend of seasoned and fresh representatives allows TCA to maintain a balance of experience and innovation.
Canadian rider Alison Jackson expressed her motivation for joining the council, commenting, โI’m really looking forward to being a part of the Rider’s Council for TCA, raising awareness of the services offered to female athletes and investing my energy to help women’s cycling grow.โ
TCA’s ongoing advocacy aims to ensure that the athletes’ concerns are prioritised, driving meaningful change across women’s professional cycling.
