Eddie Dunbar is an Irish professional cyclist from Banteer in County Cork who races for Pinarello Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team. A climbing specialist and stage-race rider, he has finished seventh overall at the Giro d’Italia and won three stages of the Vuelta a España.

Career overview
Dunbar developed through NFTO and Axeon Hagens Berman before joining Aqua Blue Sport and then Team Sky in 2018. He spent several seasons with Team Sky and Ineos Grenadiers before moving to Team Jayco AlUla for 2023, when he finished seventh overall at the Giro d’Italia. In 2024 he won the Irish national time-trial title and took two mountain-stage victories at the Vuelta a España. Dunbar joined Pinarello Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team for 2026 and added a third Vuelta stage win at Peñas Blancas, attacking from the break and passing Santiago Buitrago late on the final climb. He crashed out the following day with a fractured collarbone.
