Career overview
Van Dijk was one of the greatest time-trial riders in women’s cycling, with a career built on sustained power, tactical intelligence and durability. She won world individual time-trial titles in 2013, 2021 and 2022, set the women’s Hour Record in 2022, and also won multiple world team time-trial titles. Her road career included Tour of Flanders victory in 2014, European road race gold in 2021, European time-trial titles, national time-trial titles and stage-race wins at the Healthy Ageing Tour, Belgium Tour, Holland Ladies Tour and Ladies Tour of Qatar. Van Dijk raced the final years of her career with Trek-Segafredo and Lidl-Trek before retiring at the end of the 2025 season.
