The return of Emma Norsgaard to competition marks the start of a new Flemish tour, already with Tour de Flanders drums in the background, for the Movistar Team, which competes again in the WWT on Thursday, March 24, in the longest race of all the calendar: a Bruges – De Panne with almost more kilometers (162 km) than meters of elevation gain (less than 200).
After about 70 kilometers of straight line, always quite close to the sea, the test concludes with two 45 km laps between Koksijde, Veurne, Adinkerke and the arrival town. The most relevant part of the route is the De Moeren area, a very long and narrow straight where fans usually form and the group is selected. Although in 2021 a solo runner arrived -Grace Brown, ahead of Emma herself-, it is most likely a sprint finish.
