Emmanuel Hubert : «A page in history for women’s sport »

The first professional women’s Tour de France (July 24 to 31, 2022) organised by ASO will undoubtedly mark the history of women’s cycling. Arkéa Pro Cycling Team will take part in this long-awaited race with ambitions.

The declaration of the General Manager

Emmanuel Hubert

“Mixed! This feminine name, which carries all its meaning, has become a model to be applied in all compartments of modern society, whether at work or in sport. I have always been aware of this, which is why, with the support of our partner Arkéa, in 2020 we joined our professional men’s sports group with a professional women’s structure in order to give runners the chance to discover the highest -level. This possibility of development will benefit from next July 24th from an international exposure with the 1st edition of the Tour de France Women in which the Arkéa Pro Cycling Team will participate. Our riders will be, like all the girls in this peloton, pioneers in their sport. I wish them the best on the occasion of this race which will allow them to be known throughout the world. I expect daring from them, that they practice attacking cycling, the best way to have fun and get good results.”

Morgane Coston

“Morgane has great abilities in the mountains, she can do very well, especially during the last three stages which present a profile that can serve her qualities. We recognised them, and I think that of July 30 may suit her with the Markstein, the Petit and Grand Ballon. Morgane will be our asset for the last days of racing”.

Anaïs Morichon

“Anais is very skilled, she knows how to scrub. She comes from the school of cyclo-cross. She also went to recognise the Troyes-Bar-Sur-Aube stage, which will take white paths, a bit like the Strade Bianche. It’s a route that can match her.”

Yuliia Biriukova

“Yulia is an adventurer, a quality that she demonstrated perfectly this season during her stage success in the Tour of Thuringia. She also climbs very well. It can and knows how to start from afar, and is capable of riding while resisting a peloton for a long time, as demonstrated by its success in Germany. Yulia can surprise”.

Pauline Allin

“Pauline will support her leaders on this Tour de France Women, by assuming the role of road captain, she can also take the breakaway on a stage and race in front. We know she has the ability to do great things in such a situation.”

Gréta Richioud

“Gréta will take on the role of road captain for the Arkéa Pro Cycling Team on this Tour de France Women. She will replace her teammates when the highlights of the race demand it. Her vast experience will be an asset to all her teammates.”

Amandine Fouquenet

“Amandine will have teammate status. It must be present with its leaders in order to support them in situations that require its presence. At ease on the roads of Paris-Roubaix this year, the stage of the white paths can also correspond to her because of her great qualities as a cyclo-cross rider”.
