At a press event held in Milan, Fenix-Deceuninck outlined its plans for the next three years, including the extension of its sponsorship agreement with FENIX until 2027, a partnership with the NXTG Racing development programme, and the addition of former World Champion Annemiek van Vleuten to the team’s staff as a performance mentor.
The Italian interiors company, FENIX, which became the title sponsor of the women’s WorldTeam in 2023, reaffirmed its commitment to the team’s long-term growth. Stefano Mion, CEO of Arpa Industriale, said: “We are proud to extend our partnership with the team, supporting their growth and success. Their commitment to excellence and innovation reflects FENIX’s values, making this collaboration a perfect match for shared aspirations.”
In addition to extending its title sponsorship, the team revealed its new clothing partnership with Alé. For the 2025 season, Fenix-Deceuninck will race in three distinct jerseys, with the introduction of a striking Rosso Namib design to complement the already familiar green and blue kits. Alé CEO Alessia Piccolo expressed excitement about the collaboration, saying, “Women’s cycling has always been a top priority for Alé. We are proud to collaborate with a world-class team and look forward to supporting them with high-quality products.”
The team also announced a partnership with NXTG Racing, a development programme focused on nurturing young female riders. Speaking about the collaboration, NXTG founder Natascha Knaven-den Ouden said, “We are happy that Fenix-Deceuninck supports us in this renewed start. Our project is entirely focused on the foundation: providing opportunities for young talents, guiding them, and preparing them for the elite. In our discussions, it quickly became clear that we share the same vision. If you truly want to grow women’s cycling, you must invest in the foundation. We can’t wait to inspire and help develop the next generation together.”
The partnership aims to address the stagnation in talent development and ensure more opportunities for young women in the sport. Fenix-Deceuninck will provide financial and logistical support to the NXTG structure, reinforcing its commitment to grassroots cycling. The team has also pledged financial backing to the Omloop van het Hageland, helping secure its future and introducing U17 and U19 races alongside the women’s event.
Annemiek van Vleuten’s appointment as a performance mentor marks another significant step forward for the team. The retired Dutch rider shared her enthusiasm for the role, stating: “In the final years of my active career, I knew I wanted to work with cyclists and athletes, helping them unlock their potential while maintaining balance. When Philip Roodhooft approached me about joining Fenix-Deceuninck, I was surprised but quickly impressed by the professionalism and their commitment to both performance and the human side of the sport.
“I’m excited to contribute to the growth of this talented team. Throughout my career, I learned the value of reflection and improving through trial and error, and I hope to help accelerate this process for the athletes here. This new role is a fantastic challenge that perfectly aligns with my ambition to grow as a coach.”
