NXTG Racing embarks on fresh start with new sports directors for 2025; Eva Buurman & Bodi del Grosso

Eva Buurman

NXTG Racing has unveiled its sports director team for the 2025 season, marking a fresh start for the squad as it rebuilds following its split from AG Insurance-Soudal. The team announced Bodi del Grosso and Eva Buurman as head directors, supported by Marco Aerts, who steps into an assistant role. Both Del Grosso and Buurman bring a wealth of top-tier racing experience, and the team hopes their insights will help shape the future of its young riders.

Del Grosso, 23, recently transitioned from the Continental level, where he rode with ABLOC CT, now Parkhotel Valkenburg, until the end of the 2023 season. During his time there, he claimed third place at both the Dutch National Road Championships in 2020 and the Dutch National Time Trial in 2023 in the U23 category. Currently racing with CT GIANT Store Assen-NWVG, Del Grosso maintains close ties to the sport. His family pedigree in cycling also runs deep, with his younger brother, Tibor del Grosso, holding the Dutch U23 champion title.

Eva Buurman, 30, brings her experience as a former professional cyclist, having raced from 2016 to 2023 with teams like Parkhotel Valkenburg, Boels-Dolmans, and Liv Racing. A highlight of her career came in 2017 when she took third in the 1.1-ranked Trofee Maarten Wynants, further showcasing her strength in challenging races.

โ€œEva and Bodi bring a unique energy and vision to NXTG Racing,โ€ said team leader Natascha Knaven-den Ouden. โ€œAlthough they are new to the role of sports director, their experience as professional riders and passion for developing young talent make them ideal leaders. Alongside Marcoโ€™s longstanding presence in our team, we have a strong foundation for the next generation of female cyclists.โ€

This reboot represents a new chapter for NXTG Racing as it focuses on mentorship and development, aiming to foster emerging talent in womenโ€™s cycling under the guidance of its newly assembled leadership team.
