On Sunday NXTG Racing lines up for another World Tour race in Belgium: Gent-Wevelgem In Flanders Fields. It’s another long and demanding race over the Kemmelberg, on the Plugstreets and through the windy Moeren. Julia, Charlotte, Amelia, Catalina, Emily and Mylène, who replaces the injured Shari Bossuyt are ready for the challenge. Amelia previews:
I am really excited to race Gent Wevelgem which is going to be my first world tour race. It’s going to be a hard race with wind forecast which means we will have to be attentive from the beginning. Also with the classic Belgium “plugstreets” adding some fun. I hope for good legs and we will see what happens!
Amelia already got a taste of Belgian Spring racing. She also started Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, Le Samyn and Nokere Koerse.
I’ve learnt a lot in the three races I have done so far and have loved racing with the team and getting to know my teammates better through racing. It’s been pretty cool to have the opportunity to race with the best in the world and to see how they operate.
