Hannah Barnes said the race is a special one for her and is one of her goals for 2021.
“Gent Wevelgem is a target for me this year. It was the first race I finished in my first year out of the junior category so it holds a place in my heart.”
“I love the race. The parcours has a bit of everything and in a normal year I love hearing and seeing all the British fans come over to watch us.”
“I have learnt from my mistake in 2020. You can’t switch off during this race for even a moment. You have to prepare yourself for many scenarios.”
“The start of the season has gone relatively well for myself and the team but there is definitely more to come. I found my racing rhythm pretty quickly. I was motivated and felt ready so there was no fight to try and find my race head.”
