Lauren Stephens

Lauren Stephens is an American cyclist who races for Aegis x Leaders of Enchantment across road, gravel and mountain bike events. One of the most experienced American endurance riders of her generation, she spent more than a decade in the professional road peloton before increasingly focusing on off-road racing. Stephens is a Pan American road race champion, multiple United States gravel champion and former winner of major stage races including the Tour Cycliste Féminin International de l’Ardèche.

Career overview

Stephens turned professional in 2013 and developed into a strong stage racer and time-trialist during a long association with the TIBCO organisation. Her road career included overall victory at the 2015 Tour Cycliste Féminin International de l’Ardèche, the Joe Martin Stage Race and Tour of the Gila, alongside numerous national championship podiums. She later expanded successfully into gravel racing, becoming a multiple United States champion while remaining competitive on the road. Stephens joined Cynisca Cycling in 2024 and won the Pan American road race title before creating Aegis Cycling Foundation for 2025. She continued with the project in 2026 as Aegis x Leaders of Enchantment, combining elite racing with a development and mentoring role for younger riders.
