Liv Racing Xstra heading to next spring classic

A mid-week appointment for Liv Racing Xstra while the team is racing Dwars door Vlaanderen on Wednesday, the last race before the Ronde van Vlaanderen.

After the hard edition of Gent-Wevelgem another classic race waits for the peloton. Dwars door Vlaanderen contains five cobblestones sections and ten hills which can make the race hard. Liv Racing Xstra starts with Rachele Barbieri, Eva Buurman, Valerie Demey, Marta Jaskulska and Katia Ragusa.

Last season Buurman struggled with overtraining. Now she is getting back to her old level step by step. โ€œMy shape is getting better and better after a difficult period. At the start of the season I raced 5 races in 7 days and that was a shock for my body. The recovery of these races took a little longer than expected. Last week I raced in De Panne. It was a very hard race, but I noticed the recovery went quicker. So we are on the good way. With these races and training I hope the form keeps improving the next weeksโ€, said Buurman.

Buurman also previews on the upcoming race. โ€œIt is too bad Alison Jackson can`t start tomorrow, but Valerie proved she is in good shape already and also the other girls are strong. So we want to make the most of it with 5 riders.โ€
