Valerie Demey (Retired)
Valerie Demey is a retired Belgian cyclist who spent a decade racing professionally on the road. A dependable Classics rider and domestique, she combined strength on rolling terrain with a useful sprint and became a regular presence in the major northern one-day races. Demey finished second in the Belgian road championship in 2018 and third at the PostNord Vårgårda WestSweden road race in 2022 before retiring at the end of 2025.

Career overview
Demey turned professional with Topsport Vlaanderen-Etixx in 2016 and finished fourth at Dwars door de Westhoek the following season. She moved to Lotto Soudal Ladies for 2018 and took second in the Belgian road championship before spending five seasons within the CCC-Liv and Liv Racing organisation. Her strongest WorldTour result came in 2022 when she finished third at the PostNord Vårgårda WestSweden road race, while she also placed tenth overall at the 2021 Thüringen Ladies Tour. Demey joined VolkerWessels for 2024 and finished sixth at Dwars door de Westhoek in her final season. She retired at the end of 2025 and moved into a sports director role with Fenix-Premier Tech for 2026.
