The 2nd stage of the 2024 Vuelta a Burgos Feminas is very much one for the GC riders. Finishing on the Alto de Rosales, it’s the first time the race has visited this climb since the 2019 edition. That year a battle between Soraya Paladin, Stine Borgli and Urska Zigart saw the Italian win at the summit.
This year we’re more likely to see Demi Vollering win but she will have competition in the form of Evitz Muzic who beat the Dutch star on a similar style of finish at the Vuelta Femenina recently. Behind those pair, it thins out a bit. The returning from injury Liane Lippert and Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig would normally be contending but we’ll see how their fitness is. Pauliena Rooijakkers should be a threat and no doubt Marlen Reusser will be there in the mix too.
