After yesterday’s sprint win for Ally Wollaston on Stage 1, today’s Stage 2 is a deceptively tough one. Looking at the profile you can see the ups and downs but they’re all guaranteed to take their toll in the 30+ degrees heat in South Australia. There’s enough there for someone to take a flyer for the GC late on and a nice launchpad for the breakaway to form early on too. This stage could go either way, we might see the first GC skirmishes or a sprinter who can climb will be in the ideal spot for the finish. Someone like Soraya Paladin, Ally Wollaston again or Ruby Roseman-Gannon would be ideal.
