After yesterday’s inaugural race of the Women’s Challenge Mallorca, won by Noemi Rüegg, we get the tougher Trofeo Palma today. The Challenge Mallorca series is 3 races held day after day which is like a mini-stage race but without a general classification tying the stages together. Teams are free to enter different riders for the different races too, so a mini squad can rotate and ensure some racing in the legs for many riders in the first days of the 2024 women’s cycling season. Today’s race is the Women’s Trofeo Palma and it’s the hilliest race of the trio. The rise at the end should be enough to decide the winner after 4 separate major climbs beforehand.
