Marina Garau joins Tenvels Le Dévoluy for 2027

Spanish road and track rider Marina Garau will join Tenvels Le Dévoluy for the 2027 season, adding another rider with professional experience to the French team’s first UCI Continental roster.

The 24-year-old moves across from Vini Fantini-BePink after two seasons with the Italian squad. Garau has combined road racing with a strong track background and arrives at Tenvels as a rider capable of contributing across hilly one-day races, faster finishes and team pursuit work.

Her 2026 road season included 16th at the Copenhagen Sprint and eighth in the Spanish road championships, while she also completed the Giro d’Italia Women. Those results came alongside a continued track programme, where Garau has built much of her reputation since her under-23 years.

Garau joined BePink for 2025 after racing with Cantabria Deporte-Río Miera and Bizkaia-Durango, a move ProCyclingUK covered when she signed for the Italian team alongside Aileen Schweikart and Meike Uiterwijk Winkel.

Garau brings road and track experience

Garau has been one of Spain’s stronger track riders of her generation. She won the European under-23 scratch title in Cottbus in 2024 and has collected several Spanish national titles in the omnium, giving Tenvels a rider with experience of both endurance track racing and international road programmes.

That combination is central to the signing. Tenvels described Garau as a complete rider with a strong engine and the ability to adapt between disciplines, while also pointing to her capacity to improve further in hillier races.

Garau said the scale of the project and the international calendar were major reasons for choosing the team.

“I’m delighted and motivated to join Tenvels Le Dévoluy. The project is ambitious and the international calendar is rich and complete.”

She also highlighted the Dévoluy training environment and the opportunity to contribute to a new structure from its first season at Continental level.

Tenvels continue building their 2027 squad

Garau becomes another confirmed signing for Tenvels Le Dévoluy as the team prepares to step up from the French DN1 ranks to UCI Continental level in 2027.

The project is based in the Dévoluy massif in the Hautes-Alpes and has been built around a mix of rider development, regional backing and an expanding international programme. The team has already confirmed Maurène Trégouët and Émilie Fortin for next season.

Tenvels have also stated a longer-term ambition to progress beyond Continental level, with the current structure designed around a multi-year partnership and a training base at altitude in Dévoluy.

Garau fits the type of rider the team has targeted during its recruitment: still young enough to develop further, but already familiar with UCI racing and able to contribute immediately across several types of event.

Her move will be added to ProCyclingUK’s women’s cycling transfers hub as the 2027 peloton continues to take shape.
