Marlen Reusser wins Bärau time trial

​Yesterday in Bärau, Switzerland, Marlen Reusser won a time trial on the national calendar. It was the first time trial of the season for the national time trial champion and Alé BTC Ljubljana rider, and the Swiss – who will also have the time trial at the Tokyo Olympic Games among her seasonal goals – covered the 10.7 km course in 13 minutes flat at an average speed of 49.38 km/h. She was 1’26” ahead of Melanie Maurer and 1’37” ahead of Crystel Matthey.

Also yesterday, the team of president Alessia Piccolo took part in the Emakumeen Nafarroako Women’s Elite Classics, a 128.3km race from Zudaire to Lekunberri in a downpour. Mavi Garcia (13th) and Tatiana Guderzo (18th) made it into the day’s top 20. The Spaniard also tried an attack which was then cancelled by the top group.

Today there is a new appointment with the Navarra Women’s Elite Classics (1.1 UCI). Start and finish in the city of Pamplona, to be covered 124.8 km. Start at 3:31pm and finish around 6:45 pm. It will be possible to follow the race live on Eurosport, Eurosport player, GCN and in streaming on the Basque channel EITB.
