Two days after a solid Gran Premio Ciudad de Eibar Liv Racing Xstra will ride again in Spain for the Emakumeen Nafarroako on Tuesday and Itzulia Women (13 – 15 May).
In the GP Eibar the team had two riders in the top-11. Marta Jaskulska just missed the first group and finished in 7th place, Jeanne Korevaar ended just outside the top-10 in position 11. Together with Katia Ragusa, Tereza Neumanova and Silke Smulders they form the line-up for the next races in Spain.
On Tuesday the peloton will ride the Emakumeen Nafarroako Women’s Elite Classics, a Spanish one day race over 137,6 km with several climbs in it. Friday the team start in the three day Women`s World Tour stage race Itzulia. All three stages contain a lot of altitude metres, so it will be hard from start to finish.
Sports director Giorgia Bronzini previews on both races. “We had a nice start of the Spanish block of races. Tomorrow will be a hard race. We will try to get in the breakaway again to show our colors and try to anticipate in order to get a good result. Itzulia will be hard too. We will see day per day how we will tackle the stages. Again there is a lot of climbing in all the stages. Before the races we make a race plan and as in every race the girls get their own assignments and goals for the race. The last races our riders performed really well and I hope that they can show our team once again in this hard races.”
