Career overview

Steigenga earned her first professional victory with a stage win at the 2018 Setmana Ciclista Valenciana and added another at the Dubai Women’s Tour in 2020. Her strongest season before joining AG Insurance-Soudal came in 2022, when she finished second at the Ronde de Mouscron and Leiedal Koerse, fourth at Dwars door de Westhoek and seventh at the Women’s WorldTour race in Vårgårda. After joining AG Insurance-Soudal in 2023, she gradually returned to her best following injury and finished fifth at the 2025 Antwerp Port Epic. Steigenga enjoyed a significant resurgence in 2026, winning both the EPZ Omloop van Borsele and La Picto en Nouvelle-Aquitaine, as well as finishing third on a stage of the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya Femenina.
