Dutch cyclist Puck Langenbarg, reigning European junior road champion, has signed a four-year contract with Fenix-Deceuninck, marking the beginning of her professional career in 2025. The Belgian team confirmed the news on Instagram, welcoming the 18-year-old and sharing their vision for her development.

“We’re closing 2024 with fantastic news: starting tomorrow in Baal, young talent Puck Langenbarg will proudly race in the colours of Fenix-Deceuninck,” the team announced. “At just 18 years old, the first-year U23 and reigning European junior road champion will continue to develop her skills out of the spotlight, combining cyclocross and road racing. With a four-year deal in place, Puck has the ideal environment to grow her career steadily and at her own pace. Welcome to the team, Puck!”

Langenbarg’s rise has been remarkable. She made her mark in 2023 as a first-year junior, winning the Dutch national road title. This victory was followed by an even more successful 2024 season, which saw her defend her national title, secure a second-place finish in the Dutch national time trial championships, and win the final lap of the Watersley Ladies Challenge. Her consistent performances in that race also earned her second in the general classification.

In addition to her international success, Langenbarg dominated several national-level races and achieved a fifth-place finish in the Tour of Flanders. However, the pinnacle of her season came at the European Championships in Hasselt, Belgium, where she outsprinted a reduced peloton to claim the gold medal. Germany’s Messane Bräutigam and the Czech Republic’s Štěpánka Dubcová completed the podium in second and third, respectively.

Langenbarg’s talent was nurtured at WV Schijndel, where she raced as a junior before her transition to the professional ranks. As she prepares to balance cyclocross and road racing under the guidance of Fenix-Deceuninck, the Dutch rider looks set to build on her already impressive palmarès.
