RideLondon Classique: three days of exciting racing

Liv Racing Xstra is starting with six riders in the new stage race RideLondon Classique. With hilly stages, sprints and technical roads we can expect exciting racing for three days.

The RideLondon Classique was a one day race in the past, but this year`s edition goes over three days. There are two undulating stages in Essex. The first stage contains several hills, including the North Hill (300 m, 8,2% average) in the final kilometre of the race. Also on the second day, there is a lot of climbing and should favour an Ardennes type of rider. On the final day, the sprinters can test themselves in the streets of London.

Liv Racing Xstra brings Rachele Barbieri, Eva Buurman, Alison Jackson, Amber van der Hulst, Jeanne Korevaar and Quinty Ton to the start. For Jackson it will be her first race after the spring classic campaign.

“After the classics I had three weeks of training in preparation on the second part of the season. It was exciting to see the success of the team with the win and podium spots of Rachele and of course the strong performances in Spain. I am looking forward to start with the team in London. It is always nice to ride in Great Britain as the fans are great. This year this race is a three-day event, which makes it even more special to ride. I am really looking forward to get back to racing”, Jackson said.
