The CCB p/b Levine Law Group women’s cycling team has announced its 10-rider roster for the 2025 season, unveiling three new additions to its under-23 development programme. Among the newcomers are Katherine Sarkisov, Makayla MacPherson, and junior standout Jorja Bond. The team’s primary focus remains on nurturing young talent ahead of the inaugural U23 women’s category events at the UCI Road World Championships in Kigali, Rwanda, set to take place from 21st to 28th September.

Sarkisov makes the jump after national title; MacPherson brings experience to young roster

Katherine Sarkisov joins CCB after a dramatic victory at the US Cyclocross Nationals, where she claimed the U23 women’s title just 10 days ago. The event, marred by a crash at the finish line, saw Sarkisov collide with fellow competitor Cassidy Hickey, who was later relegated to third place by officials. Both riders escaped with minor injuries and bruising.

The 21-year-old has spent the last two seasons racing on the road with Cynisca Cycling and also competes in cyclocross for CXD Trek Bikes. Sarkisov’s aggressive racing style and recent national championship victory have positioned her as a key addition to the team.

At just 21, Makayla MacPherson enters the team with an impressive résumé, having already raced two seasons at the WorldTour level with Human Powered Health. Most recently, the California native competed with the now-closed DNA Pro Cycling, where she built a strong reputation on the criterium scene, including podium finishes at the Boise Twilight and Salt Lake Criteriums.

MacPherson’s depth of experience in high-profile races is expected to provide leadership within CCB’s young squad, particularly as the team balances road, criterium, and gravel events.

Bond steps up from junior success; Lejeune shifts focus to gravel racing

Eighteen-year-old Jorja Bond, a rising star from Colorado, joins the team after a standout season with Boulder Junior Cycling. Bond secured a silver medal in the women’s junior 17-18 road race at US nationals in 2024. As the youngest member of the roster, Bond’s talent and potential make her one to watch as she transitions to elite-level racing.

French rider Cécile Lejeune returns for another year with CCB but will shift her focus exclusively to gravel racing. Lejeune, who claimed the overall win at the Oregon Trail Gravel Stage Race last year, has been selected to compete in the Life Time Grand Prix, an elite gravel series that will dominate her calendar in 2025.

Team’s mission remains unchanged

“Our primary goal is to prepare our athletes for the next step in their careers, whether that means earning professional contracts or competing on the world stage,” said Sports Director Lauren LeClaire. Over the past seven years, the programme has successfully graduated 18 riders to the professional ranks.

The team’s sponsors remain unchanged for the upcoming season, with Levine Law Group continuing as the presenting sponsor. Technical partnerships with Shimano, Sportful, Enduro Bearings, Lazer, and Schwalbe ensure the team remains competitive across all disciplines.
