Six Grant Thornton-Krush Bikes-Tunap Sports active in Amstel Gold Race

For the first time, Grant Thornton-Krush Bikes-Tunap Sports will be at the start of the Amstel Gold Race. The formation will ride its first WorldTour race of the season on Sunday 18 April.

Four Dutch and two Swedish riders will ride in the Biemme outfit. Quinty Ton, Inez Beijer, Nienke Wasmus and Marissa Baks form the motivated Dutch contingent. The team is completed by  Clara Lundmark and  Nathalie Eklund. The latter will perhaps stand out even more in her Swedish champion jersey.

A total of seven laps are covered over a course of nearly 17 kilometers. In each round, the Geulhemmerberg, the Bemelerberg and the Cauberg are included as climbs. So it promises to be a particularly tough Sunday morning.

“You can wake us all up at night for this match. The Amstel Gold Race is one of the races you dream of. It is a pity that there cannot be an audience in one of the biggest competitions of the year, but we are very happy that in these difficult times the organization has managed to make this race possible. We are very proud to be part of the strong field of participants. It is our first WorldTour race of the season and the race will be broadcast entirely on television in the Netherlands. So this is a great opportunity to show us. It is also a nice measurement moment for us. ”

The Amstel Gold Race can be followed on Sunday 18 April from 8.30 am via a livestream on NOS.nl and in the NOS app. From 11.05 NPO 1, Eurosport, GCN and Sporza on Canvas will also start.
