St-Michel-Mavic-Auber 93 has announced its women’s squad for the 2024 cycling campaign. The team, poised for a competitive season, will feature a balanced mix of youth and experience. Among the roster are four noteworthy riders who’ve previously shown promising form on the team and will be racing in the orange colours for another season: Célia Le Mouël, Camille Fahy, Margot Pompanon, and Alison Avoine.

Le Mouël had a striking debut, clinching an 8th place finish on a stage of the Tour de France Femmes thanks to a spirited breakaway. Fahy made her team debut after an encouraging internship in 2022 and has already gained valuable experience competing in high-calibre events such as the Tour de France Femmes, the Vuelta Femenina, and the UAE Tour Women. Pompanon, too, has had an extensive racing programme, demonstrating her skill both in supporting her teammates and in securing solid individual results. Avoine, despite a season marred by misfortune, still managed to secure an impressive 10th place at the Picto-Charentaise.

All four riders will continue to don the team colours in 2024, forming part of a ten-woman team. The line-up is augmented by three new signings: Marion Bunel (VC Lisieux), Victorie Guilman (FDJ-Suez), and Elyne Roussel (Breizh Ladies). They will join Alison Avoine, Marion Borras, Camille Fahy, Roxane Fournier, Célia Le Mouël, Dilyxine Miermont, and Margot Pompanon.to complete the ensemble.

As for departures, the squad bids adieu to Sandrine Bideau, who has decided to retire, along with Simone Boilard moving to Uno-X and Coralie Demay to FDJ-Suez. The future of Olivia Onesti remains yet to be confirmed.

With a line-up that offers an intriguing blend of emerging talents and seasoned pros, St-Michel-Mavic-Auber 93 looks poised to make a significant impact in the 2024 women’s cycling season. From arduous climbs to thrilling sprints, this squad has the resources to challenge in a variety of race scenarios. It’s a roster that suggests the team has high ambitions, not just for the upcoming season but as a long-term project in the realm of women’s cycling.
