Veenendaal-Veenendaal winner and French national championship runner-up Gladys Verhulst will be looking to add to an already successful season, while recent signing and former hockey player Eva van Agt will be rearing to go at the Tour and continue to develop her strengths on the bike.
Nico Marche, the Director Sportif for the race broke down the team’s goals for the race.
โPut simply, our goal is to win a stage. Of course, itโs a high goal but we believe in our dreams! We want to #ColourTheRoad. We’ll try to create initiative throughout the week, beginning with stage 1 with a bunch sprint. Maike can get a top result on the Champs Elysรฉe, and open up our Tour de France in a great way.
โAfter day one, weโll try to create opportunities in breaks with aggressive riders like Jesse and Gladys, but also some focus stages where Lizzie can shine on the hillier parcours. Our new signing, Eva, is still discovering the type of rider she will become โ but we are sure that her talent can shine there in the hills as well. Majo will be an important team player there to support and position the team on the key parts of the course.โ
Hereโs the full team lineup:
Majo vanโt Geloof
Eva van Agt
Gladys Verhulst
The race will begin on 24th July in Paris, France and will make its way to the final stage in La Super Planche Des Belles Filles on the 31st. You will be able to catch the action live on GCN+, Eurosport and Discovery.
