The Garden Hotels-Luxcom Challenge Mallorca Femenina returns for its second edition between 25th-27th January, bringing together some of the biggest names in women’s cycling. The organisers confirmed the participation of six Women’s WorldTour teams, five ProTeams, seven Continental teams, and the Spanish National Team in what promises to be a high-profile start to the 2025 season.

In a statement, the organisers celebrated the event’s rapid growth and appeal: “After last year’s success, with the premiere of the first Garden Hotels-Luxcom Challenge Ciclista Mallorca for women, the best riders of the international peloton will start the season on the island.” Noemi Rüegg, Magdeleine Vallieres Mill and Eleonora Gasparrini won the trio of races in 2024.

The three-day race aligns with the training schedules of several teams, including EF Education-Oatly, who return with an upgraded ProTeam status for the new season. The event, which coincides with their Mallorca training camp, has proven to be a valuable opportunity for team development and performance testing.

The Challenge Mallorca Femenina also serves as a significant season opener as the first European races contested. It’s an important season with the likes of Human Powered Health and Ceratizit-WNT keen to get off to a fast start to score enough UCI points to retain their Women’s WorldTour status for the 2026-2027-2028 seasons.
