Telenet-Baloise change the colors

New look for the hardest working team in show business

The Telenet-Baloise Lions are ready for the 2020/2021 season with a fresh look. The perennial good-guy-team of cyclocross comes into the season with a loaded roster of young talent (to be announced in the coming weeks) and a look to match.

Trekโ€™s product designer Micah Moran had the homework for updating the look.

Blue notes for the Belgians.

I abide by the mantra of ‘Keep Cross Weird’

‘X’ marks the spot

โ€œI abide by the mantra of โ€˜Keep Cross Weirdโ€™ so that was at the front of mind as I designed the Boone race scheme,โ€ said Moran. โ€œCross is a sport of constantly changing camera angles, so the asymmetric design keeps the design dynamic no matter how you view it. Trek has placed an โ€˜Xโ€™ on every cross bike weโ€™ve produced for the last 20 years, so I covered this one with a textural โ€˜Xโ€™ pattern.โ€

Hang on!

โ€œThe tonal blues are a nod to the original Trek Cyclocross Collective team that marked Trekโ€™s reinvestment in sponsoring top tier CX athletes and programs,โ€ says Micah.
