Thank you Boels Rental and Dolmans Landscaping Group

The team worked hard today to make it a true day to remember as this was the last race in the colours of the Boels-Dolmans Cycling Team. The pace was extremely high today with over 40km in the first hour. With 30 kilometres to go the team with Majerus and Dideriksen in the lead forced a split up. with in the first group 25 riders amongst Christine Majerus, Amy Pieters, Lonneke Uneken, Chantal Blaak and Jolien d’Hoore.

The pace was kept high. The team tried to make it even harder. Amy and Lonneke tried to get away in the final kilometres but these attacks were neutralised. What rested was a sprint in which Jolien was perfectly launched. The rest is history.

DS Danny Stam: “We wanted to put the icing on the top today and fought real hard for it to give the team the farewell they deserved. That wasn’t meant to be. Jolien went a little bit to far of her line and the judges made a decision.”

We hoped for a better ending today but with the race in Driedaagse Brugge – De Panne came an end to the era of the Boels Dolmans Cycling Team.
