Career overview

Van den Broek-Blaak was one of the Netherlands’ strongest Classics riders, with a career built on tactical intelligence, durability and decisive late attacks. She became world road race champion in 2017 in Bergen, won the Tour of Flanders in 2020 and added Strade Bianche in 2021. Her palmarès also includes Gent-Wevelgem, Le Samyn des Dames, the Drentse Acht van Westerveld and multiple Dutch national championship podiums. A long-serving part of the Boels-Dolmans and SD Worx structure, she became a trusted road captain and one of the peloton’s most effective one-day racers before retiring from professional cycling at the start of the 2025 season.
