Tuscan weekend for Alé BTC Ljubljana, with Strade Bianche and the Montignoso race

​The girls of Alé BTC Ljubljana are looking forward to an intense weekend in Tuscany that also represents the team’s official debut in Italy.

The seventh edition of the Strade Bianche Women Elite, round of the UCI Women’s World Tour, is scheduled for Saturday, 6th March. The race will take place in Siena along 136 km with 8 stretches of dirt roads for a total of 31.4 km of “strade bianche”.

This is one of the most fascinating and challenging races of the entire international calendar and the best teams and athletes in the world will line up at the start.

The start is scheduled at 9.10am, arrival around 1.15 pm. The race will be broadcast live on Rai and Eurosport channels from 12.30.

Defending the colours of Alé BTC Ljubljana in this young Italian classic will be: Marta BastianelliMavi GarciaMarlen ReusserEugenia BujakTatiana Guderzo and Laura Tomasi.

Yesterday the girls carried out a reconnaissance of the route. The team manager Fortunato Lacquaniti commented: “It is the first race in Italy and it represents for us a particularly important and heartfelt appointment. The girls are well, they have shown with excellent performances in Belgium and Saturday we will try to repeat the good performance of last year”.

Sunday, March 7th, another appointment in Tuscany: the Italian Laura TomasiTatiana GuderzoAnna Trevisi and Alessia Patuelli will participate in the Trofeo Oro in Euro in Montignoso (Massa), a race of the national calendar for Women Elite. Also in this case the race will be visible live on PMG Sport platform and on other specialized sites starting from 15.10.
