Vollering, Labous and Muzic outline their 2025 race calendar with FDJ-Suez

Demi Vollering, Juliette Labous and ร‰vita Muzic have revealed their racing schedules for the 2025 season, with the Tour de France Femmes as the primary focus for FDJ-Suez. Vollering, a former winner of the race, is aiming to reclaim the yellow jersey she lost by just four seconds last summer, while Labous and Muzic will support her in the mountains.

A united front for the Tour

Volleringโ€™s arrival at FDJ-Suez raised initial questions about leadership dynamics, given Labous and Muzic had already committed to long-term contracts. However, the trio presented a united front when announcing their plans for the season.

“With Demi, it will be simpleโ€”sheโ€™s a step above us,” Labous admitted. “But with ร‰vita, we want to learn from her, get to her level, and one day win the Tour de France ourselves.”

Muzic echoed the sentiment: “Demi will be the designated leaderโ€”there was no debate about that. My role will be to support her in the high mountains and help secure the jersey.”

Volleringโ€™s ambitions and classics focus

The Dutchwoman will start her season at the Setmana Ciclista Valenciana before moving on to the Spring Classics, including Strade Bianche and Trofeo Alfredo Binda. However, she has opted to skip the Tour of Flanders to focus on the Ardennes Classics, where she previously dominated back in 2023.

Her calendar includes:

  • Omloop Het Nieuwsblad (1st March)
  • Strade Bianche (8th March)
  • Trofeo Alfredo Binda (16th March)
  • Milan-San Remo (22nd March)
  • Amstel Gold Race (20th April)
  • Flรจche Wallonne (23rd April)
  • Liรจge-Bastogne-Liรจge (27th April)
  • Vuelta Femenina (4th-10th May)
  • Tour de France Femmes (26th July-3rd August)

Labous and Muzic to target the Giro

While Vollering focuses on the Vuelta and Tour de France, Labous and Muzic will take leadership roles at the Giro dโ€™Italia Women, aiming for strong GC performances.

“The overall classification is a stressful goal, but winning stages is what I love most,” said Muzic, who finished just off the podium at last yearโ€™s Tour.

Labous, wearing the French championโ€™s jersey, has already begun her season at the UAE Tour, while Muzic and Vollering will start racing in Valencia this week.

FDJ-Suezโ€™s Tour de France strategy

The team is determined to deliver Vollering to victory in the Tour, where she will face off against her former SD Worx-Protime teammate Lotte Kopecky, now focusing on GC ambitions herself.

“We can send Juliette or me up the road to force others to chase,” Muzic explained. “That way, Demi can conserve energy and make her move at the right moment.”

With a stacked calendar, FDJ-Suez is banking on their three-pronged approach to bring home major victories in 2025. Whether itโ€™s the Ardennes, the Giro, or the Tour, Vollering, Labous and Muzic look set to be major players this season.
