Vuelta a Burgos Feminas: climbs & uphill finishes

Liv Racing Xstra will ride its fourth and final Spanish race of the month from the 19th till the 22nd of May.

The Vuelta a Burgos Feminas is a four day event and contains 489,4 km of racing. Eight categorised climbs and two uphill finishes wait for the peloton. The first two stages are on a rolling terrain and offer some chances for the breakaway or maybe a sprint. Stage three finishes on the short, but hard climb Ojo Guareña, while the fourth and last stage is a real mountain top finish on the Lagunas de Neila (12 km, 9,6% average).

Jeanne Korevaar, Katia Ragusa, Marta Jaskulska and Tereza Neumanova were in Spain already and will start in Burgos too. Quinty Ton will accompany them to make the Liv Racing Xstra line-up complete for this race. The Dutch rider was part of the team during the Omloop der Kempen, which was won by Rachele Barbieri.

“We won that race thanks to good team work. It also was a boost for my confidence. The last weeks I worked very hard during my training and race. I am happy that I feel better and better after a hard start of the season. The coming weeks I will ride several stage races in which I want to learn and improve myself. Burgos is a new race for me and contains a lot of altitude metres. It will be hard, but I will learn a lot from it”, Ton previewed on the race.
