Career overview
Van Aert developed into an elite road rider after winning three cyclocross world titles. Since joining Team Visma | Lease a Bike in 2019, he has won Milan-San Remo, Strade Bianche, Gent-Wevelgem, Amstel Gold Race and Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, alongside numerous Tour de France stages and the 2022 Tour green jersey. His versatility has produced victories in sprints, time trials, mountain stages and major one-day races. In 2025 he added a Giro d’Italia stage and won the Tour de France finale in Paris. His 2026 season brought a long-awaited Paris-Roubaix victory, followed later in the year by two Vuelta a España stage wins and the green jersey. Van Aert is contracted to Team Visma | Lease a Bike for the remainder of his professional career.
