Dutch rider Yara Kastelijn has extended her contract with Fenix-Deceuninck until the end of the 2026 season. The 4-year deal is one of the longest in the current women’s peloton and a sign of the confidence that the team has one of their long-term riders. The Fenix-Deceuninck team recently were confirmed as the 15th and final member of the Women’s WorldTour for the 2023 season.

“I am very proud of this extension. I feel at home with this team and for me that is the key to success. In addition, I am well supervised here. I am convinced that I can get even better. This team has a good future and I want to be part of it”

Kastelijn hasn’t been seen too often racing cyclocross this season, with her last appearance coming at the Robotland Cyclocross in Essen where she finished 3rd. It appears that she is slowly transitioning to a role on the road more and more. Her consistent climbing saw her finish 7th in GC at the Tour of Romandie at the end of the season. She was also a member of the Tour de France Femmes team where she finished 13th in GC too.
