The third day of racing saw another win for Charlotte Kool as the Dutch rider comprehensively took the sprint in Zulte. A flat stage was going to take something special to prevent it from coming down to a sprint and despite attacks from the likes of Sofie van Rooijen, Marieke de Groot and Audrey de Keersmaeker. The short cobbled section elongated the peloton but never made it snap.
Just like yesterday’s stage, there was another late crash but the race favourites made it through unscathed. It was Thalita de Jong who appeared to be the worst off as a result. When it came to the finish, Kool was first around the bend at 200 metres to go and with a straight line to the finish just put lengths into Anna Henderson and Emma Norsgaard in 2nd and 3rd.
