Sina Frei is a Swiss professional cyclist who rides for Specialized Factory Racing. One of the leading cross-country mountain bikers of her generation, she is an Olympic silver medallist, multiple world champion and European champion who has also competed successfully on gravel and the road.

Career overview

Frei won Olympic silver in cross-country at Tokyo 2020 as part of a historic Swiss clean sweep and became elite short-track world champion in 2021. She had previously won two under-23 cross-country world titles and three consecutive elite team relay world championships. Frei added silver at the 2022 Gravel World Championships and became European gravel champion in 2024. Her 2026 season marked another career high: she won both the cross-country and short-track European titles before becoming elite cross-country world champion at Val di Sole, where she also took bronze in the short track. Although primarily a mountain biker, Frei also raced on the road for Team SD Worx during 2022 and 2023, including the Tour of Scandinavia.
